Testimonials
"A huge thank you from everyone involved with ROOTS to Noise for the Needy
for all of their efforts on our behalf, and to all of the bands and clubs
who donated their talent and facilities. We can’t say enough about the high
level of professionalism that Rich brought to this effort and the unceasing
energy he and Jeff poured into the weeklong series. It was a truly amazing
experience for us.
The concert series was a lot of fun, and brought in over $4000 for our Young
Adult Shelter and Friday Feast programs. More than that, though, it was a
great opportunity to meet a whole bunch of new folks and raise awareness
about the needs of homeless people in our community. No event in our
five-year history has brought us so much attention.
One of the highlights for us was when one of our shelter guests had his
first opportunity to perform in front of television cameras Thursday night
at Chop Suey. Part of ROOTS’ mission is to provide young people with
opportunities to move off of the streets and forward with their lives, so it
is doubly fitting that Noise for the Needy helped a budding musician gain
some real world experience in his craft.
We all had a great time, and want to thank everyone who helped make this
concert series such a success!"

"The Red Cross thanks Noise for the Needy for the wonderful Johnny Cash
tribute they put together that benefited the Red Cross Family Relief Fund. This
enables us to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in
need after they have suffered losses from disasters. In King County the Red Cross
responds to a fire every 36 hours. Thanks to all the generous musicians that
donated their time to support their local Red Cross.”
